Need to know more? Then let’s jump right into it:

Our One-on-one GCSE Computer Science and Python Programming Course is designed to teach your child Python Computer Programming and Computer Science at the same time. We use Python as a basis to explain all the terms and techniques required to pass GCSE Computer Science with top marks. The other benefits of our one-on-one approach include:

  • You choose the hours.

  • You can rest assured your child will receive 100% attention. One-on-one means our instructor’s focus is all on your child. You won’t need to put out fires because something got misunderstood. We are there for you and your child, always ready and happy to help.

  • Our instructors studied computer science for many years and passed many exams in this domain and offer unrivalled help to your child, both with the material and the worries

  • You don’t need to drive your child back and forth - it’s all online.

The one-on-one online course gives us the flexibility to run it anywhere in Britain at any time. And it allows us to provide the best instructors whenever you are. We are a British company and employ only British residents. Sleep well knowing our instructors were thoroughly vetted, including an enhanced CRB check.

Need to know even more? Let me tell you a little bit about us and our philosophy:

When we work with every child as an individual, when we focus 100% on their individual talents and needs and when we throw in the best, most dedicated tutors in the mix, only the sky is the limit.

From the very beginning we lived up to this core belief of ours. We founded Educademy to change the way we teach children. We are strongly against box ticking. Yes - we have a very detailed curriculum for our instructors to know what to teach. Yet No - we do not follow it blindly. We strongly believe a curriculum is like a map, while teaching is like a journey through a beautiful landscape. You take a look at the map from time to time, but it’s the beauty of the actual thing that got you there in the first place. It’s exactly the same with teaching. And just like we would not step over a cliff edge just because the map shows a path there, we do not follow the curriculum when we feel the tutee is not ready yet.

Of course we’ll make sure your child mastered all the computer science knowledge necessary to attain top grades in Computer Science GCSE/iGCSE exams. We also make sure they are comfortable with computer programming in Python, which will set them firmly on the path should they choose computer science for their A-Levels.

How do we keep your child interested in computer science?

  • First of all our curriculum is built around simple games children can code themselves. At the beginning there may be a couple of hours we need to cover some basics, but we’ll ensure each lesson is engaging and entertaining and as soon as we can we’ll introduce projects of your child’s interest.

  • We balance confidence vs challenge. During every lesson we will pay attention to the signals your child sends. Is he or she bored? We will add something new and challenging. Does he or she sound a little bit uncertain? Time to review to make sure we have a 100% understanding.

  • We interweave computer science knowledge into the programming course:

    • “So now that you are familiar with an if-statement, here’s a flow chart for it.”

    • “And how about this flow chart of a simple game? Can you code it? Let’s do it together…”

  • Children have a natural thirst for learning. During every course there is a lesson, where we arrive and hear our student just came with an idea for an app or a game and would like us to help. Do we help? Of course. Following children’s interests is more important than following any general plan. And there is always an enormous scope for learning. The projects our clients come up with often go beyond their current abilities. However they bring exceptional passion which allows them to make leaps and bounds in their understanding.

This all means our lessons are both non-linear and sometimes quite unpredictable. However, our aim is to improve your child's understanding and passion for computer science. As long as your child understands more every time and is more eager to try new things, we are happy. Would you?

If so, please let us know and we will get in touch with you to discuss your and your child’s individual requirements.

Our one-on-one camps and courses are fully customised. We don’t believe in one size fits all. That’s why early on we settled on one-on-one courses. These give us (and you) flexibility. Since there is no group, we don’t have to follow the average. With one-on-one we can offer you the best path for your child. We will start, where you tell us is the best place to start. From there, we will follow your child’s lead. Should we go back and explain something? We will. Should we skip this and that as your child fully understands it already? We will.

You tell us when your child is going to take the exams and we’ll keep adjusting the course to make sure all the computer science curriculum is covered by then.

You see - our one-on-one online courses focus 100% on your child! Nothing else! But don’t get our word for it. Here’s what other parents say about us:

I highly recommend Educademy! They have been really great with teaching my 9 year old Python. She thoroughly enjoys the classes and went on to win a school math competition after sharing one of the Python math games she created with her instructor, Harry.

It's also really helped her with overall logical problem solving skills and demystifying computer programming which she's watched me do but always assumed was really difficult.

I have found the team highly professional, flexible and very responsive.

My son absolutely loves coding and I would recommend Educademy to anyone who is interested in coding.

Did we manage to convince you?

But what if you don’t like it? While I know from my experience it’s not going to happen, how can you? And of course the answer is: you can’t. So here’s the deal:

  • If you are unhappy after the very first lesson, we will refund you all your money.

  • If at any point later in the course you decide you don’t want to continue, we will refund you for all the lessons you are cancelling.

How can you be sure of it? Actually, this is law and you are entitled to it. Just ask your credit card provider. Not many customers know it and few companies will admit it. However, you already know that we pride ourselves to be different.

So, what’s the deal really? The deal is that we will create a customised course for your child for the price you can get a group course elsewhere (which works out at only £100 per hour). You not only get a customised course and one-on-one tuition. We will make sure your child is ready on time. And on top of that you have full flexibility - you choose the time of the week, the duration etc.

But wait! You can save £2400 when you book now! This 30% discount is available if you commit to the whole 80-hour course today for only £5600. We have a number of payment plans available to suit your needs
