Speed Test

  • To do a Speed Test visit: https://www.speedtest.net/

  • Zoom recommends 3 Mbps at the highest use case in group video calls.

Zoom Audio Check

Zoom client has a built-in audio check. To see if your audio is working:

  • Open Zoom Client, "Sign In" if required

  • Go to settings (top right corner, right under X to close the window click on your initials and in the menu, that shows click "Settings")

  • Click "Audio" on the left hand side

  • Click "Test Mic" - say a couple of words and then hear them played back

  • Does the voice came back clear? If not, try different volume levels

  • If all else fails, please install zoom client on your mobile and try that to connect to have better quality audio.

Zoom Status

  • You can check the availability of Zoom here: https://status.zoom.us/

  • Ensure that Zoom Meetings, Zoom Video Webinars, Zoom Chat and Conference Room Connector are all marked as operational.

Zoom Settings

In the Zoom Client navigate to the settings page, Uncheck "Enable HD Video". This should free up more bandwidth to allow for a stable connection. You can leave this enabled if your internet upload speed is good and the Zoom connection is stable.
